Hi, Friends,
Today ran a bit long — sorry about that — but thank you for hanging in there. I know from my own experience that once I understood how light works on a subject, my drawings started to look more realistic.
Using form and cast shadows as well as creating a key like I demonstrated in today’s livestream pushes your skills forward to realism. There’s more to this when you add color, reflected or bounced light, etc, and in a future Wonder-Filled Wednesday, I’ll talk more about this.
Let me know if you have any questions from today’s session, and thank you again. These are becoming so fun for me to produce, and I hope equally as fun (and helpful) for you!

Every Wednesday at 1:30pm Eastern US time (Time Converter), we marvel in our nature journals together — draw along with me or just watch, ask questions, etc. Livestreams are hosted on Notes for everyone, and recorded/archived for paid subscribers.
