I love this concept, and I use it a ton in my own work. My description literally has "30,000 foot view" in it, and I find this perspective to be super valuable!

It's really helpful isn't it? For me it helps with context. Nature (well, everything, really) is so interconnected, yet each aspect seems so independent. Zooming in/out helps keep me grounded in the fact that everything is action and reaction.

yes! Everything follows the laws of physics at its core, and everything is connected.

When I have trouble sleeping, I get really ambitious and try to imagine 13.7 billion years ago, the moment of inflation, when space and time became a thing. My goal is always to think through how gravity shaped the cosmos on a grand scale, causing fusion and a supernova explosion, ultimately creating our son and solar system in its wake, and then go through how life evolved on earth, and then how humans evolved.

I usually get to the stelliferous era and fall asleep.
