I love the bird! Can’t wait to study this more and give more thought to gouache! ( I was an oil painter before peripheral neuropathy stole my ability to grasp or guide a paintbrush or even a palette knife. )

Thank you so much! I hope this gives you more ideas. Sorry about the neuropathy - are you able to work with shorter handle or lighter brushes? I actually used my waterbrushes to paint this piece - they are light and the "handle" is quite chunky because it's also the water reservoir, so maybe that can help you grip the brush more easily? Sorry if I've overstepped. I know what it's like to have to adapt, and hope maybe this can help?
